Moscow newlyweds have already submitted more than 28 thousand applications for marriage in 2021, and more than half of the couples have done so online. The most popular summer wedding dates at the moment are July 17 and August 21.

More and more Moscow newlyweds are choosing the electronic method of submitting applications – of those who did this in 2021, over half preferred the online format. And during the spring restrictions associated with the pandemic, about 70 percent of wedding applications were received electronically.

Over 1200 couples applied online for marriage registration during the holidays

In addition to July 17 and August 21, the first week of June is also popular. As of Friday, June 4 (06/04/21), more than 250 marriage applications have been submitted, and on Saturday, June 5 (06/05/21), more than 550 couples want to get married. Last year, the most popular wedding date in the capital was February 20 (02.20.20). We got married on this day more than 900 pairs.

Popular wedding venues in Moscow

Metropolitan newlyweds most often choose Tagansky, Shipilovsky, Kuzovsky departments of the registry office, as well as wedding palaces No. 3, 5 and the Palace at VDNKh. Here, on August 21, almost the maximum number of applications was filed.

Couples often choose unusual sites, including the Royal mansion and the OKO tower, the mansion on Volkhonka, the Muravyov-Apostol estate, the Ostafyevo estate, the mansion in Serebryany Bor, the arts center of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Central Moscow hippodrome, the Matrona of Moscow and Moscow planetarium.

Last year, the Royal mansion became the leader in the number of ceremonies held among unusual venues: about 500 marriages.

An application for registering a marriage on an unusual site can be submitted in person at the registry office to which it is attached, online through the public services portal or portal… The state duty remains the same – 350 rubles, when submitted online it is paid at a discount and amounts to 245 rubles.
