The main stage of construction of roads and a bridge across the Novinki backwater has begun in the southern part of the former ZIL industrial zone. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a four-lane road 1.2 kilometers long and a bridge that will connect two embankments – Simonovskaya and Marc Chagall – and will unload Likhachev Avenue, reducing travel time for motorists. It is also planned to equip pedestrian crossings, a slop-and-turn platform and the building of the terminal station of urban passenger transport, ”he said.
It is planned to complete all construction and improvement works in 2023.
Two of the nine pillars of the bridge are already completely ready: their foundations have been concreted, waterproofing has been applied and a number of other works have been completed. Another five supports are half concreted, added Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt.
The total length of the bridge will be 615 meters, width – 26 meters, and the length of the spans – 411 meters. “The bridge will have two lanes in each direction, sidewalks for pedestrians will be provided on both sides,” said Yuri Kravtsov.
In 2018, as part of the integrated development of the territory of the former industrial zone “ZIL”, Likhachev Avenue was built and opened with an overpass 537 meters long across the Moscow Central Ring, in 2019 an underground pedestrian crossing was put into operation across Likhachev Avenue, and in 2015 the station was opened Metro “Technopark” – it was built on the existing Zamoskvoretskaya line without stopping trains.
