Resolution of March 13, 2021 No. 363
Over 248 million rubles will be directed to Kalmykia to solve problems with water supply and resettle citizens from emergency housing. Such orders were signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The money will come from the Government’s reserve fund. Of these, more than 176 million will go towards the construction of a nine-story building in Elista. It will be built for citizens whose apartments have suffered due to the explosion of household gas in the house number 15 of the second city microdistrict. Two entrances were recognized as emergency and 54 apartments were found to be unfit for living. Citizens were temporarily settled in rented housing. The cost of its rent is paid at the expense of the regional budget.
The emergency house was one of the sites that Mikhail Mishustin visited during his working trip to Kalmykia. The Prime Minister talked with the residents and promised them to quickly resolve the issue of building a new house. Mikhail Mishustin instructed the head of the republic Batu Khasikov to take the project under his personal control.
Another 72 million rubles will be allocated for the construction and technical examination of the Iki-Burul water pipeline. It is necessary in order to establish normal water supply in the Priyutnensky and Iki-Burul districts, as well as as a backup source of drinking water for the city of Elista. Work at the facility was carried out in 2006–2015, but was never completed. Water wells, pumping stations and water treatment stations remain unfinished. In addition, no hydrotesting has been carried out. With the help of federal funding, specialists will check the compliance of the facility with design solutions, assess its construction readiness and calculate the amount of additional funds required for commissioning.
During working trip The Prime Minister also personally examined the infrastructure of the Iki-Burul water pipeline and held a meeting on water supply in the republic. According to its results instructions were given The Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Finance, together with JSC Rosgeologia, submit to the Government proposals on ensuring a reliable water supply to the region.
Kalmykia is one of the 10 regions with the most difficult socio-economic situation. For such territories, individual development programs have been developed, for which 1 billion rubles are allocated annually.
Mikhail Mishustin visited each of the ten regions – he visited socially significant objects, met with representatives of business and the public, listened to the opinions and suggestions of citizens. As a result, instructions were given to address the most significant issues in a particular region.
