Resolution of March 15, 2021 No. 375

More than 430 million rubles will be invested in the modernization of the Grigory Mikheev research vessel operating in the water area of the Northern Sea Route (NSR). The decree on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be used to purchase and install auxiliary diesel generators with a total capacity of 0.6 MW, which will significantly reduce operating costs and increase the vessel’s service life by at least 15 years. The work is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

The resumption of the operation of the vessel will partially satisfy the demand for navigation and hydrographic support from the raw material companies and other users of the NSR.

Measures for the modernization of Grigory Mikheev are envisaged by the federal project Northern Sea Route, the purpose of which is to transform the NSR into a transport corridor of global importance.
