The working meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Territory Igor Stepanenko and the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Altai Territory, Major General of the Internal Service Valery Usachev.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Social Protection of the Region Natalya Oskina, Minister of Regional Health Dmitry Popov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Altai Territory Valery Nikityuk, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Territory Svetlana Govorukhina and Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Altai Territory, overseeing production activities and employment of convicts Irina Belova. Also among those invited was the Deputy Prosecutor of the Altai Territory Vyacheslav Shipiev.
Valery Usachev said that within the framework of cooperation of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Altai Territory with organizations of the executive power of the region in the second quarter of 2020, contracts worth more than 1.6 million rubles were concluded and executed in full.
– This year, one contract was signed with an anti-tuberculosis sanatorium for the supply of butter in the amount of 540 thousand rubles. We are working on three contracts with municipal institutions for the supply of soft inventory, for a total of 470 thousand rubles, – said Valery Usachev.
Addressing the audience, Igor Stepanenko stressed:
– There are a number of areas in which it is possible and necessary to interact with the Federal Penitentiary Service: garments and furniture. First of all, this is relevant for institutions of social protection, education and health care.
The participants discussed issues of pricing, terms of production of goods in the institutions of the Penitentiary System of the region and the possibility of delivery to the customer.
The Minister of Social Protection of the Territory Natalya Oskina said that this year 24 subordinate institutions plan to conclude contracts with the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Altai Territory for the supply of products.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the region Svetlana Govorukhina assured that the issue will be worked out with the regional and municipal institutions regarding the purchase of soft inventory in the Federal Penitentiary Service. Svetlana Pavlovna also said that the ministry would direct contractors involved in the construction of schools and kindergartens in the region to purchase furniture produced in the UIS. Deputy Minister of Transport of the Altai Territory Valery Nikityuk was interested in the opportunity to interact with the penitentiary department in terms of sewing overalls, manufacturing metalwork – stopping pavilions, fences and other things, as well as providing labor resources.
At the end of the meeting, Igor Stepanenko ordered the heads and representatives of the ministries of the region to intensify interaction with the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Altai Territory and to increase the volume of regional and municipal orders from institutions of the penal system.
