At the Trirechye training ground in the Amur Region, a subdivision of high-power self-propelled artillery mounts “Malka” of the Eastern Military District, during a tactical exercise, fired at the maximum range using coordinates received from an unmanned aerial vehicle.

According to the plan of the exercise, at a distance of about 50 kilometers, the conditional enemy carried out preparations for an offensive on the positions of our troops. To disrupt the offensive concept, the command decided to use the Malka long-range guns in conjunction with the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle.

The UAV complex transmitted the exact coordinates of the identified objects in real time to the firing position. The calculations introduced amendments and with a volley of several guns hit the command post and the accumulation of equipment. Further, the guns switched to single fire, pointwise destroying the surviving reconnaissance targets.

The use of the UAV complex with the Malka long-range system has significantly expanded its potential. Now it is possible to use powerful projectiles at long distances with the effectiveness of high-precision weapons.

The shooting was carried out within the framework of the field exit of the missile forces and artillery of the combined arms army of the Air Defense Forces. More than two thousand servicemen of the association are involved in it.
