At the Belgorodskaya CHPP, planned tactical firefighting exercises were held, which demonstrated the readiness of the operational services to work together in possible emergency situations.

According to the tactical concept of the exercises, a fire broke out in a tank with a volume of 5,000 cubic meters, and there was a threat of fire spread. At the same time, according to the terms of the legend, as a result of the “emergency”, five people were injured, who could not independently get out of the danger zone.

The staff of the facility, having discovered the fire of the CHPP reservoir, immediately reported the fire to the Rescue Service by calling 112 and evacuated all people from the facility.

A few minutes later, fire and rescue units arrived at the place of the call, and a fire extinguishing headquarters was deployed at the site of a simulated fire. After reconnaissance, it turned out that fuel oil was burning throughout the entire area of the reservoir. The firefighters were faced with the task of rescuing people from the danger zone, preventing the release of flammable liquid and the spread of fire to neighboring tanks.

In addition, during the exercise, the issues of liquidating the consequences of oil and oil products spills were worked out. Rescuers from the search and rescue service of the Belgorod region installed booms and, using an absorbent reagent, collected the conditionally spilled fuel oil.

In total, the practical part of the exercise took 50 minutes. The event was held at a high methodological level, the main goals were achieved. In total, 45 people and 15 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercises.
