A resident of the Moscow region, 37-year-old citizen A., was going to transfer the illegal parcel with the help of a drone. Employees of the operational department of IK-4 prevented him from fulfilling his intention.

In the course of the operational-search measures, information was received about the planned delivery of prohibited mobile communication devices and components to the restricted area of IK-4. For this, the convicts serving their sentences in the institution were going to use the help of citizen A. and the achievements of technical progress.

Recently, correctional officers have increasingly had to deal with attempts to deliver mobile communication devices and drugs using quadcopters, and malefactors attach “illegal parcels” to them.

This time, the courier was going to send a quadrocopter flying, supplying it with three packages, inside which were neatly packed 9 mobile phones, SIM cards, chargers, headphones and USB cables.

The offender did not deny and explained that he was going to send this parcel to correctional colony No. 4.

On this fact, a protocol was drawn up on an administrative offense, provided for in Art. 19.12 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The employees of the operational department of IK-4 are conducting an inspection, identifying the persons to whom the above prohibited items were intended.
