As part of a tactical exercise with the Dmitry Donskoy Guards Airborne Regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Force, taking place these days in the Ryazan Region, more than 300 military personnel and three BMD-2K-AU units were dropped onto the Noviki landing site, after which The “winged infantry” with a swift attack seized a simulated enemy field airfield and held it until the regiment’s main forces approached, ensuring their unhindered landing.

After the landing and battle, the units of the parachute regiment, having made a march on standard equipment to the Dyagilevo airfield, loaded it onto the Il-76MD military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

After takeoff from the airfield, three Il-76MD aircraft carried out formation in battle formations and parachuting of personnel and equipment to the Noviki landing site, after which the regiment’s military personnel began to work out the issues of capturing and holding the field airfield in order to ensure the landing of the main forces of the regiment and formation.

Subsequently, the subunits marched into the specified area, destroying newly identified objects of the imaginary enemy, as well as capturing and holding the specified line with the stage of live firing of the paratrooper company in the offensive from the standard weapons of the BMD-2K-AU, small arms and grenade launchers.

In total, more than 1.2 thousand servicemen, about 200 units of military and special equipment of the Guards parachute regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces, three Il-76MD aircraft, as well as ground attack and army aviation were involved in the exercise.
