In the military history museum of the Central Military District at the House of Officers of the Samara Garrison, a new exhibition hall was opened under the name “The Russian Imperial Army. Relics and Regalia of the 18th – 20th Centuries ”, dedicated to the history of uniforms, equipment and weapons of the Russian Imperial Army.

“The exposition hall of the Russian Imperial Army is an example of a public-private partnership between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and private collector Andrei Boldyrev,” said the head of the House of Officers Alexander Nazarenko. – The exposition is a significant event for the Samara region.

Orders and medals of the Russian Empire, regimental insignia, St. George’s awards, epaulettes, edged weapons of the Russian Imperial Army, insignia of educational institutions and other organizations of Tsarist Russia, as well as memorabilia that were presented to servicemen in memory of any significant events are presented in the hall for the first time.

“The main goal is to preserve and popularize the best traditions of Russian military service, develop a sense of pride in our homeland, and form civil-patriotic qualities based on the study of Russia’s military past and the achievements of military history,” A. Nazarenko added.

The exhibition hall will operate for 5 years.
