In the Main Church of the Armed Forces of Russia, a thanksgiving service was held in honor of the seventh anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.

The servicemen of the RF Armed Forces were present at the prayer service. The thanksgiving prayer service was conducted by the dean of the Patriarchal Cathedral, Archpriest Alexander Soldatenkov, together with the clergy of the church and priests who are studying at the Military Spiritual and Educational Center of the Military University of the Russian Defense Ministry.

On March 18, 2014, the Crimean peninsula officially became part of the Russian Federation. The return of these territories was fixed by an interstate agreement signed on March 18, 2014 in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow by the heads of Russia and the Republic of Crimea. Crimea and the city of Sevastopol became new subjects of the country.
