Participants can submit three works in three out of seven nominations.
Applications have opened for participation in the photo exhibition “OBJECTIVELY ABOUT Moscow”, which will be held at the “House on Brestskaya” from 25 August to 4 September. As the head of the capital Department of Urban Development Policy Sergey Levkin, both professional photographers and amateur photographers are invited to participate in it. Works are accepted until August 1…
This is not the only event organized by the Urban Policy Department. In addition to the photo exhibition in the “House on Brestskaya”, the department is successfully holding a competition for urban photography “Planet Moscow”, the start of accepting applications for which will be announced additionally.
“In 2019, more than 3,700 photographs were submitted to the Planet Moscow competition, among which were works not only from residents of Moscow, but also from the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Kemerovo regions, Orenburg and neighboring countries. Last year, for obvious reasons, the event did not take place. This year, in connection with the issued decree of the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin on easing quarantine restrictions in the capital, we intend to continue our tradition. I think holding such events is important for the Stroykompleks – through the lenses of cameras we get a real picture of the town-planning changes taking place in the city, ”said Sergei Levkin.
Yulia Kulikova, director of the Mosstroyinform State Budgetary Institution, stressed that an important rule of the Objectively About Moscow competition is that one participant can choose no more than three out of seven nominations, in each of which no more than three works must be submitted. “Photos must be taken between August 1, 2019 and August 1, 2021. The submitted works will be evaluated by an expert commission, which involves reputable photographers, professors of specialized institutions, as well as experts from other fields of art. The best works will be exhibited at the House on Brestskaya, ”added Yulia Kulikova.
