In the village of Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod Region, over 500 cadets of the Western Military District completed their training in intensive combined-arms training with survival elements at the Combat Training Center of the Western Military District.

Servicemen from military units and formations of the Western Military District, stationed in the North-Western, Central and parts of the Volga Federal Districts, were trained under an intensive combat training program, which includes: a field exit, which begins with a 10-kilometer march in full gear over rough terrain with overcoming contaminated areas of the terrain with the help of personal protective equipment of a serviceman.

Most of the tests took place in difficult weather and tactical conditions, both at night and during the day. The final stage of the intensive training courses was the execution of control firing exercises from the AK-74M Kalashnikov assault rifle with a change in firing positions, throwing RGD-5 combat hand grenades at a distance of more than 50 meters, and running in with the T-72B3 tank.

At present, the 5th stream of courses under the program of intensive combined arms training has begun in the district training center, in which about 200 servicemen of the Western Military District are participating.
