Cadets of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Order of Suvorov of the twice Red Banner Command School named after General of the Army V.F. Margelov, who are undergoing military training in the Kamyshin separate guards airborne assault Don Cossack formation, visited the local history museum of the city of Kamyshin on the weekend.

In the museum, the cadets got acquainted with a large number of exhibition halls with exhibits and photographs from the history of Kamyshin and the Kamyshin region.

The museum workers bit by bit collected a huge number of original documents, letters, household items of the war and pre-war times, biographies of the heroes of the Kamyshin land.

An employee of the museum, who conducted an exciting excursion, told in detail about the collected exhibits and their glorious combat history. The cadets got acquainted with many original documents and photographs of various times, awards of soldiers and officers, items that they used in their daily life. Also, the museum displays the uniforms and models of weapons that were in service with the Soviet army during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Also, during the excursion, the cadets got acquainted with the biography, combat path and feat during the Great Patriotic War of the legendary fighter pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union, a native of Kamyshin, Alexei Petrovich Maresyev.
