In the Voronezh region, the best military chefs and bakers of the combined arms army of the Western Military District were determined during the final stage of the competition for the title of the best specialist “Field Kitchen” in preparation for the Army International Games “ARMY-2021”.
On the basis of the motorized rifle regiment of the Vistula division, military chefs competed in the deployment and preparation of a full-fledged lunch in modern field kitchens of the KP-30, providing the personnel with hot and tasty food, baking loaves of bread weighing at least 1.1 kg and no more than 1.2 kg each team on mobile ovens PP-40 and field bakery units PCB-0.4.
In addition to demonstrating special skills in cooking and bakery products, military chefs passed fire training standards, and also performed control firing exercises from an AK-74M Kalashnikov assault rifle at mobile and stationary targets at a distance of up to 400 meters.
The main assessment criterion was the quality of the baked bread and prepared dishes, which were judged by experts on the presentation of the finished dish, consistency, color, taste and smell.
The winner of the army stage of the competition was the team of an anti-aircraft missile brigade from Kursk, which set off to defend the title of the best military chefs at the district stage of the Western Military District in April this year in the Moscow region.
