Elena Alekseevna reported that about 300 convicted women are serving their sentences in correctional colony No. 6. Most have been convicted of violent and drug trafficking crimes.

– Recently, many so-called “mortgages” have come to us. These are young girls who are looking for easy money through the Internet. Some manage to make one or two bookmarks, and fall into the hands of law enforcement agencies. Youthful maximalism still plays in them. They do not realize all responsibility for what has been done – Elena explained.

She also noted that one of the main tasks facing the penal system is the upbringing and correction of convicts.

– It is important to preserve all that is human and positive that is left in them. Show convicts that it is possible to live differently without embarking on a slippery criminal path.

In a conversation with the presenter, Elena Berlizova said that the educational impact on convicts is provided during personal conversations, demonstration of films aimed at their aesthetic, cultural and patriotic development. In addition, the colony has organized compulsory schooling for convicts under the age of 30. There is a professional educational institution, production sites. There are also various circles where convicts realize their creative abilities. For their sports training, sports corners are equipped in the detachments.
