Screenings will take place in the Molodezhny and Tula cinemas of the Moschino network. After watching, viewers will be able to discuss the films with directors and actors.

From 6 to 27 April, the Moschino cinema network invites you to watch selected films by Russian directors. Screenings will take place in the Molodezhny and Tula cinemas as part of the Dialogue cinema club program. In April, films marked at Russian and international film festivals of recent years will be shown: films “Masha” by Anastasia Palchikova, “Watchman” by Yuri Bykov, “Hypnosis” by Valery Todorovsky and “Black Snow” by Stepan Burnashev.

The show starts at 20:00. You can get to them by purchasing tickets. Students will be able to attend the sessions free of charge by registering in advance and then presenting their student ID. The entrance to the screening of the film “Watchman” will be free for everyone (preliminary registration is required). More information can be obtained at website network “Moschino”.

The April program of the Dialogue cinema club will open with the drama Masha by Anastasia Palchikova. The action takes place in the 1990s, we are talking about a thirteen-year-old girl – the daughter of a bandit. Last year, at the XXXI Kinotavr Film Festival, the film received the prize for the best directorial debut. The tape will be shown on April 6 at the Tula cinema, after viewing the audience will be able to discuss it with the director and actors Polina Gukhman, who played the role of little Masha, and Sergei Dvoinikov, who played a gang member named Treshka.

On April 13, Yuri Bykov’s film The Watchman will be presented at the Molodezhny cinema. The main character, the forty-year-old watchman Vlad (Yuri Bykov), lives and works in an old sanatorium, which must be given up for demolition. But one day his measured life is disturbed by a strange married couple who wants to stay in one of the rooms. In 2019, the film was nominated for the main prize of the Kinotavr festival. After the session, the director will answer the audience’s questions.

And on April 20, the Tula cinema will show Valery Todorovsky’s mystical drama Hypnosis about a teenager who attends hypnosis sessions to recover from sleepwalking. Gradually, the main character falls under the influence of the hypnotist and loses the ability to distinguish reality from illusion. In 2020, the film was nominated for the main prize – the golden “St. George” at the Moscow International Film Festival. Viewers will be able to discuss the tape with the actors Sergei Giro (Misha), as well as Sergei Medvedev and Ekaterina Fedulova, who played in the film.

The program will end on April 27 at the Molodezhny cinema with a screening of the film Black Snow by Stepan Burnashev. This is the story of the trucker Gaucher, who gets stuck on a snowy road in Yakutia and tries to survive. The script is based on real events. Last year, the film won the main prize at the annual festival of Russian cinema “Window to Europe”. After the viewing, a video conference with Stepan Burnashev will take place.

The Dialogue Cinema Club is a new project of the Moschino city cinemas network, its goal is to revive the traditions of cinema clubs in a modern format. Every week in the cinemas “Molodezhny” and “Tula” screenings of the best contemporary Russian auteur films and Soviet classics are held. Guests can not only watch pictures on the big screen, but also ask questions to directors and actors. The curator of the Dialogue film club is film critic Maria Bezruk.

“Moschino” annually holds retrospectives, festivals of auteur films, film clubs and meetings with directors. Special attention is paid to film screenings. In addition, Moschino is the curator and organizer of the City-wide Cinema Night event.
