A project for the construction of an underground pedestrian crossing at the intersection with the railway tracks of the second Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-2) in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo area has been approved. The object is located near house 19 in the 1st Tushinsky passage. The length of the tunnel part of the crossing will be more than 60 meters, width – four meters.

Along the crossing it will be possible to comfortably and safely cross the tracks of the Riga direction of the Moscow Railway. Also, two staircases with overhead wheelchair descents will be built and two elevators for people with limited mobility will be installed.

“The walls of the passageway and staircases, as well as the outer vertical surfaces of the parapets, will be faced with ceramic granite tiles. The steps of the stairs and risers will be made of natural heat-treated granite slabs, and granite slabs will also be laid on the floor of the tunnel part, ”added Valery Leonov.

In addition, it is planned to arrange sidewalks at the entrances and exits of the passage.
