Members of the Public Observation Commission of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra for monitoring the provision of human rights in places of detention and assistance to persons in places of detention Natalya Prokosheva and Lyudmila Ovsyannikova, visited correctional colony No. 11 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.

POC representatives, together with the Deputy of the Khanty-Mansiysk Prosecutor for Supervision of Compliance with Laws in Correctional Institutions, Yuri Konikov, made a round of detachments for the residence of convicts, a canteen, rooms for long visits, a bath and laundry plant and other communal facilities of the institution.

During a visit to the institution, the guests were interested in the issues of observance of the rights and legal interests of convicts, employment, payments of claims to victims of crimes, as well as material, household and medical and sanitary support.

At the end, the community members held a reception for convicts on personal matters, during which all those who applied received the necessary legal and consulting assistance.

During the visit to the institution, no complaints or applications about the conditions of detention and serving of sentences were received from the convicts.
