On the eve of the regiment’s divisions were transferred from Novorossiysk to the Crimean peninsula by rail.

As part of the exercise, the units will work out the preparation and conduct of hostilities by an anti-aircraft missile regiment to cover units and subunits of the formation from attacks by air attack weapons of a simulated enemy during airborne assault operations and anti-amphibious defense of the sea coast in conditions of active influence and use of electronic warfare and unmanned aerial vehicles. enemy vehicles.

During the exercise, the anti-aircraft missile regiment will provide cover for military units and subunits of the formation during the march to the waiting areas, landing and conducting combat operations to seize the airfield, maneuver and capture the designated line, as well as ensure the landing of the main forces of the formation.

In addition, the issues of organizing hostilities to cover the units of the formation during the defense of the sea coast and entering the area of ​​recovery of combat capability will be worked out, with the stage of live firing from the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems and the Verba portable anti-aircraft missile systems …

In total, more than 500 servicemen and about 40 units of combat and special equipment of the guards anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Novorossiysk guards airborne assault mountain formation are involved in the exercise.
