Eight mobile visiting groups of servicemen of the Northern Fleet went to the regions of the Urals and the Urals to inform local residents about the conditions of military service under a contract in the Arctic. The groups consist of officers and the most trained contract servicemen from the coastal and naval units of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces, motorized rifle brigades of the Army Corps and the new Arctic air defense unit of the Northern Fleet, as well as a selection point for contractual military service from the city of Kandalaksha.

For several weeks, the soldiers of the North Sea will have to hold talks with residents of Udmurtia, Perm Territory, Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk Region, Mari-El, Bashkiria, Chuvashia and Chelyabinsk Region. Meetings with potential military personnel will be held at the military commissariats of the Central Military District.

For a month of information and agitation work, military personnel should interest as many young people aged 18 to 40 years old as possible in service in the Northern Fleet, so that they can provide their families with decent living conditions, and earn benefits and other benefits provided for by Russian legislation for workers on The Far North and the Arctic.

In all regions where the troops and forces of the Northern Fleet are deployed, there are special allowances for monetary allowance, as well as preferential calculation of service – from 1.5 to 2 years per year, which allows northerners to count on early receipt of a military pension, which is paid already upon reaching 20 years of preferential service, i.e. for 10-13 years of actual service in the Far North and in the Arctic.

Before leaving, all military agitators underwent an organizational training and instruction. Each of them received the task of attracting suitable candidates from among the citizens who are in the reserve for military service under the contract.

In the summer, such information and agitation work was successfully carried out by servicemen of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces and a separate motorized rifle brigade of the Northern Fleet among the inhabitants of the Urals, the Volga region and Siberia. Then only a few hundred people were selected for military service. They entered military positions in the ship crew, units of the land and coastal forces of the Northern Fleet, as well as in the Arctic military bases, which are deployed on the islands of Kotelny and Alexandra Land in the Arctic Ocean.

The residents of Tatarstan and Bashkiria, as well as the Sverdlovsk region, showed the greatest interest in contract military service in the Northern Fleet.
