Demining groups of the Marine Corps and the Army Corps of the Baltic Fleet defused 55 artillery ammunition during the Great Patriotic War.

Over the past day, naval sappers defused 51 artillery shells of caliber from 75 mm to 150 mm, three 82-mm mortar mines, as well as an F-1 hand grenade during the war.

49 artillery shells were found in a forest near the garage society “Autobox” of the Baltic city district. Six more ammunition – artillery shells, mines and a grenade – in a forest belt near the village of Divnoe-Novoye, Nesterovsky District, Kaliningrad Region. All ammunition was taken to the naval test sites for further destruction.

Since the beginning of 2021, specialists from the demining groups of the engineering regiment, the formations of the marines and units of the army corps of the Baltic Fleet have already neutralized about 400 different ammunition from the times of the Great Patriotic War.
