Within the framework of the Innovation Day of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Fifth All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Special Purpose Vehicles: Development, Production and Modernization” was held at the branch of the Military Academy of Logistics in Omsk.

The conference was attended by representatives of seven organizations, among which were presented the work of the branch of the VA MTO in Omsk, the Military Institute (railway troops and military communications) (St. Petersburg), Omsk State University of Railways (Omsk), Omsk University of Water Transport, the Military Training Center of the Russian Guard (Omsk) and others.

The main areas of activity of the scientific sections of the conference were topics related to structures, power plants, electrical equipment, as well as the production of special-purpose vehicles.

The conference was headed by the chairman of the military-scientific committee of the MTO headquarters, Colonel Mars Sharipov.

Deputy Head of the Branch for Academic and Scientific Work, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Colonel Pavel Kobzar addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

At the end of the plenary session, the guests of the conference, the teaching staff of the departments and the cadets of the branch took part in the work of scientific sections.

Also, the conference participants were able to familiarize themselves with the exhibition dedicated to the “Innovation Day of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.”

Scientific and technical developments and scientific works of the faculty and adjuncts of the branch were presented as exhibits.

The annual conference with the exchange of experience and information on promising areas of activity significantly affects the productivity of scientific work, helps to update the ongoing research at the university.
