In the Kuzminki area in the southeast of the capital, under the renovation program, the relocation of residents of a house on Zhigulevskaya Street begins. This was announced by the head of the city Department of Urban Development Policy Sergey Levkin.
“On March 25, more than 200 residents of the panel five-story building at 12 Zhigulevskaya Street, Building 6 were offered new equivalent apartments in the new building 103a on Volgogradsky Prospekt, and the resettlement will start today. Thus, in the Kuzminki area, under the renovation program, six new buildings have been handed over for settlement, ”he said.
The house on Volgogradsky Avenue was commissioned at the end of 2020. The living space is over eight thousand square meters. The house has 141 apartments: 46 one-room, 76 two-room and 19 three-room. Landscaping of courtyards, finishing of residential and non-residential premises were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the renovation program.
According to Sergei Levkin, residents of nine houses are in the process of relocation in Kuzminki. “Until 2024, at the first stage of the renovation program, we plan to provide new housing for 7.5 thousand people, 33 houses will have to be resettled and dismantled,” he added.
In total, 287 houses are to be demolished on the territory of the district, where more than 64 thousand people live. For wave resettlement, 19 launch sites have now been selected.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. Participants are provided with modern comfortable apartments, and social infrastructure facilities such as kindergartens, schools, clinics, sports complexes and cultural centers are being created in the districts. During the entire existence of the renovation program, residents of 86 houses have already moved to new apartments.
