The workers will completely replace the roofs, repair the drainage system and insulate the attic floors.

In the Presnensky District, it is planned to repair the roofs of several historical buildings at once. Work in residential buildings, which are objects of cultural heritage, will take place within the framework of a large-scale regional overhaul programs.

One of these buildings is A.D. Sidamon-Eristova, located at Malaya Bronnaya Street, 31/13. It was built in 1910. Petersburg architect Viktor Velichkin (he is also the author of the Savoy Hotel project) designed the building in the neoclassical style, which was fashionable at that time. On the protruding central part, at the level of the second floor, a portico is made, which is formed by semi-columns with Ionic capitals. Above them is a stucco cornice. In the partitions between the windows there are bas-reliefs stylized as antique ones. The facade is also decorated with consoles. In the 1930s, the building was transferred to the management of the USSR Ministry of Defense, after which famous Soviet military leaders received apartments here.

It is also planned to renovate the roof in the apartment building of the merchant Moisey Kochubey, which is located at Krasnaya Presnya Street, 36, building 1. The building was built in 1905 by the project of Osip Shishkovsky and is a typical example of apartment buildings of the beginning of the last century. The facades are decorated in the French Art Nouveau style, which is characterized by a symmetrical composition and laconic decor. Vladimir Mayakovsky lived in this house with his mother and two sisters from 1913 to 1915. Now it houses the Kvartira na Bolshaya Presnya museum, which is part of the Vladimir Mayakovsky State Museum.

Another building, the roof of which will be put in order, is P.A. Skopnik (Spiridonovka street, house 27/24). It was built in 1906 by the outstanding architect Gustav Gelrich. This is a six-storey residential building in the late Art Nouveau style. The façade with bay windows ends with an undulating roof. The corner part looks like a triangular turret with a dome. In its upper part, on each face, there is one semicircular window. The corner bay window is propped up by the figures of the Atlanteans.

All work will be carried out in strict accordance with applicable building codes and regulations. When repairing roofs, all the old roofing is dismantled, after which the installation of a new roof will begin. The workers will replace the fences, repair the drainage system. If necessary, the crate will be replaced, as well as partially or completely – the rafters and the Mauerlat. All wooden structures will be treated with fire retardant compounds, hatches and exits to the attic and roof will be replaced.

Where it is provided by the design documentation, the attic floors will be insulated. This is necessary to restore the temperature and humidity regime of the attic space, and also increases the energy efficiency of the building as a whole, improves the operation of the roof. Mineral wool slabs are used as a heat insulator.

There are information stands next to each object where work is taking place. On them you can find the details of the contractor carrying out the repair, and the contact details of the authorized employees.
