The Russian side is actively preparing for the UN Summit on Food Systems 2021.

March marks the end of the start-up phase of the national dialogue on food systems. During it, within the framework of individual ministries and departments, the Russian Federation carried out work to assess the key aspects affecting the stability of food systems, primarily in relation to the conditions of our country. Strengthening the resilience of food systems is singled out as the dominant theme of the national dialogue.

In the future, the next stage is to conduct coordination activities within the framework of the national dialogue, designed to synthesize interdepartmental positional approaches and ideas outlined at the initial stage of the dialogue, as well as discuss possible initiatives that the Russian side could propose to the international agenda of the upcoming forum. The ultimate goal of the national dialogue is to develop a position from which our country will go to the Summit.

In the week starting from April 5, the next meeting of the national coordinator for the preparation for the Summit, the rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia A.V. Yakovenko, will be held with all Russian companies that are interested in reflecting their positions in the contribution of the Russian Federation to the preparation of the Summit.

The draft of the relevant document will be sent out to the participants in the dialogue shortly.
