The Black Sea Fleet (BSF) hosted joint missile firing of the crews of the small anti-submarine ships (MPK) Suzdalets and Kasimov and the combat crew of the mine-based coastal missile complex (DBK) Utyos.

In the course of a planned bilateral exercise, a detachment of ships practiced actions to repel a missile strike of a simulated enemy by anti-aircraft weapons.

While performing training maneuvers at sea, the personnel of the missile and artillery combat units of the MPK “Suzdalets” and “Kasimov” discovered and escorted an air target, the role of which was played by the “Progress” missile, fired at a simulated enemy by the combat crew of the “Utyos” DBK.

The anti-aircraft missile system “Osa-M”, which is in service with small anti-submarine ships, was used at a distance of destruction against the missile.

As a result of the exercise, the air target was successfully destroyed by the launch of 4 Osa-M missiles from both small anti-submarine ships.

To ensure safety, the maritime range in the Black Sea, in which rocket firing was carried out, was closed to navigation. More than 15 warships and auxiliary vessels of the Black Sea Fleet performed the tasks of closing the area.
