A special feature of the project will be a park with an area of three hectares on the roof of the shopping complex.

The reconstruction and improvement of the Paveletskaya transport interchange hub (TPU) is planned to be completed by the end of 2021. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“A large transport interchange hub will appear on Paveletskaya Square, which will unite the passenger flows of the metro, railways and surface urban transport. It will create the most convenient conditions for transferring from one type of transport to another. This is an investment object, the work on the formation of the hub is planned to be completed by the end of the year, ”noted Andrei Bochkarev.

The TPU will also include offices, entertainment areas, and a park. “Thus, TPU will become not only a place of transfer, but also a center of business and urban activity,” explained Andrei Bochkarev.

The transport hub on Paveletskaya Square is the largest in Moscow. Its passenger traffic is about 350 thousand people per day. It will unite a multifunctional complex, which can be reached via underground passages from the Koltsevaya and Zamoskvoretskaya metro lines, and stops of surface public transport.

At the moment, the excavation and underground works, the arrangement of the spacer system have been completed, and 95 percent of the monolithic reinforced concrete structures are ready. The construction of internal walls and partitions is in progress, and facade work is in progress.

A three-hectare park will be opened on the roof of the shopping complex. In addition to the unusual glass canopies over the entrances to the shopping and entertainment center, its main decoration will be a square with a fountain and an open amphitheater. On the roof of one of the entrances there will be a green seating area with wooden decking and a promenade around the perimeter.

The park will have artificial hills, hiking trails with natural stone paths, as well as bike paths. Visitors can relax in cafes and restaurants with terraces.

The original lighting will add variety to the composition and emphasize the features of the space of the renovated area due to the play of light and shadow.

The multifunctional complex is scheduled to open in October 2021.
