It will create the most convenient conditions for transferring from one type of transport to another. This is an investment object, the work on the formation of the hub is planned to be completed by the end of the year, ”noted Andrei Bochkarev.
The TPU will also include offices, entertainment areas, and a park. “Thus, TPU will become not only a place of transfer, but also a center of business and urban activity,” explained Andrei Bochkarev.
The transport hub on Paveletskaya Square is the largest in Moscow. Its passenger traffic is about 350 thousand people per day. On the roof of one of the entrances there will be a green seating area with wooden decking and a promenade around the perimeter.
The park will have artificial hills, hiking trails with natural stone paths, as well as bike paths. Visitors can relax in cafes and restaurants with terraces.
The original lighting will add variety to the composition and emphasize the features of the space of the renovated area due to the play of light and shadow.
