Over the past 10 years, 173 kilometers of metro and MCC lines, 88 stations and 10 electric depots have been built in Moscow.
It is planned to build about 30 stations on the radial lines of the metro by the end of 2025. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“The development of the metro network is one of the priority areas of work to solve the transport problems of the capital. The main metro construction project for the coming years remains the Big Circle Line, but additional sections of radial lines are no less important for servicing both existing and new urban areas, ”he said.
It is planned to open stations on existing lines, as well as build new sections.
“These are new sections of already operating lines – Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya, Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya, Sokolnicheskaya – and segments of completely new radii. In terms of the scope of work, this is almost comparable to the construction of the Big Circle Metro Line, ”stressed Andrei Bochkarev.
The deputy mayor recalled that the builders are faced with the task of ensuring transport accessibility for 90 percent of Muscovites. In total, over the past 10 years, 173 kilometers of metro and MCC lines, 88 stations and 10 electric depots have been built in Moscow.
