The construction of chord lines will be completed in the capital by 2023. He told about this in an interview with the program “Week in the City” on the TV channel “Russia 1” Sergei Sobyanin

The new transport frame will make it possible to simplify routes, avoiding the overrun of cars, which will have a beneficial effect on the environmental situation in the metropolis. The North-West Expressway is fully completed, the rest are under construction. The Moscow Ring Road is partially unloaded. The main construction work is concentrated in the south, north and east, just in those areas that are now experiencing difficulties with the redistribution of transport.

“You can imagine: to lay four highways through Moscow. Southeast Expressway – it is practically all in the corridor of the existing railway lines. Therefore, there are a lot of overpasses, for the most part it hangs in the air. Trains pass every five minutes, and finding windows to enable builders to work is very difficult. But nevertheless, the work is progressing, ”explained Sergei Sobyanin.

New highways will reduce the congestion of some streets, relieve the Third Transport Ring and the Moscow Ring Road. All four expressways will have exits to the Moscow Ring Road and exits to each other at intersections. According to experts, new highways will improve transport links in eight districts and 73 districts of the city.
