Specialists of the hydrographic service of the Pacific Fleet in Kamchatka have started maintenance of aids to navigation in the mainland and island zones of the Bering and Okhotsk Seas in order to prepare them for summer operating conditions. The northernmost point of service to navigation equipment is Cape Navarin, the southernmost point is the North Kuril island of Matua.

In the course of the work, the serviceability of the light-optical devices will be checked, the floating, coastal signs and lights, automated beacons in the area of ​​responsibility will be repaired. Specialists will focus, replace lamps and power sources at the facilities of the hydrographic service.

In total, it is planned to service more than 130 different aids to navigation equipment. To accomplish this task, hydrographic vessels and boats of the Kamchatka region of the hydrographic service are involved.
