EMERCOM of Russia has stepped up preventive work with children, including during school holidays. The department pays great attention to ensuring the safety of children, teaching them first aid skills, and fostering a culture of safe behavior among the younger generation.
Traditionally, in the spring, in all regions of the country, employees of the department hold events for children, where they share with children the secrets of the professions of a firefighter and a rescuer. These are excursions to fire and rescue units, the work of the EMERCOM townships of Russia and playgrounds during cultural events, training sessions for schoolchildren and much more.
So, in the Khabarovsk Territory the action “From hand to hand! Spring of Security ”. The main goal of the event was prevention and prevention of accidents in the spring season. The action was attended by 10.5 thousand students from 79 kindergartens and 85 schools and lyceums of the subject. During the action, thematic quizzes and life safety classes were held. Pupils of kindergartens and elementary grades placed memos on information stands, handed memos and booklets to their parents, and senior schoolchildren handed out memos to residents of their settlements on the streets.
In the Vladimir region, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry held a preventive event for the children of the social rehabilitation center. Employees of the department told the children how to act correctly during the evacuation, as well as spend their holidays without incidents. Experts have chosen a format for modeling dangerous situations: fire in an apartment, rescuing drowning people, crossing the road along an unregulated crossing.
Rescuers of the Kemerovo region conducted an excursion around the fire station for the young soldiers from school No. 74 in the city of Kemerovo, and also introduced the cat Frosya, rescued in the fire, to the children. The children made a gift for the cat with their own hands: a special house and miniature cat combat clothes.
In the Smolensk region, open lessons on fire safety in the urban and forest zones were held. The children learned about the types of fires and those who fight them. The firefighters spoke in detail about the specifics of the work, and the children had the opportunity to try on a knapsack fire extinguisher, a special blower, and also find themselves in a “burning forest” using virtual reality glasses.
In Syktyvkar, rescuers carried out a preventive measure at the ski complex, where they introduced children to the equipment and rescue tools used by firefighters, and taught children how to use a fire extinguisher.
The activities carried out allow children to learn the details of the profession, to gain practical skills in dealing with emergency situations, as well as to form an understanding of danger and responsibility.
