Both experienced athletes and beginners will be able to join plogging. The first race will take place on April 10th.

From April to October a series of ecological races “Cultural Plogging” will take place in Moscow. Participants are invited to jog and collect trash along the way. The tracks will run through the territories of picturesque estates, reserves and parks. Among them, for example, the Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye museums-reserves, Bitsevsky forest, Izmailovsky park, Uzkoye estate, Fili park, Kuzminki-Lyublino and Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo natural-historical parks.

Plogging allows you to get your body in shape, as well as make the green areas of the city cleaner and more well-groomed. The marathon participants collect plastic and glass bottles, aluminum cans, paper wrappers, cellophane bags and much more along the way. To pick up debris, runners have to bend over or squat, which is extra movement. This run is more intense and affects almost all muscle groups. Some plogging fans supplement the workout with other exercises. At the finish, not only how quickly the athlete ran, but also how full his garbage bag is taken into account.

The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve became the organizer of ecological marathons in Moscow parks. Participation in the races is offered not only to experienced runners, but also to beginners. A person can jog about five kilometers without special training and training. The time is not limited. In addition, participants during plogging can often slow down and take a step to pick up the package or can. The organizers recommend wearing sportswear and comfortable shoes. Before the start, runners will be given bags and gloves to collect garbage. Experienced athletes will accompany the group: one will lead the column, the other will close it.

The races are free, pre-registration is required to participate. Due to the fact that the epidemiological situation in the city remains difficult, no more than 50 people can join one plogging (information on the availability of vacancies is available upon registration). The organizers also ask you to maintain social distance during the event.

The first Cultural Plogging will take place on April 10th. Muscovites will have to overcome seven kilometers. The ecological marathon will start at 10:00 from the main entrance to the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. The route will pass along the Tsaritsyn ponds, along the sidewalks parallel to the Kashirskoye highway, and will end at the palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve. You can register for plogging here.

Some of the races are organized specifically for young athletes. For example, on April 24, a children’s plogging quest will take place in Tsaritsyno. The guys will run one kilometer and collect trash. Along the way, they will be told how to sort the waste properly. Then the little runners will paint the birdhouses. Gathering – at 11:30 near the First greenhouse building.

And on May 8 everyone is welcome in the Fili park. The participants of the ecological marathon will move from Barclay Street to the Kuntsevsky settlement, and then return back to the entrance to the park along the Filevskaya embankment. The length of the distance is seven kilometers. The start time of the action will be announced in early May.

The schedule of the next races will be published on the website Museum-reserve “Tsaritsyno”… Links to registration can also be found there.

In the capital’s parks, traditional Saturday races are resumed as part of Parkran movement (from the English park run – “running in the park”). It will be possible to take part in them on the territory of 10 recreation areas starting from April 3. Anyone can take part in the race, regardless of the level of training.
