Muscovites have won 47 diplomas of winners and prize-winners at the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in chemistry. The final stage took place in Belgorod. Nine students from Moscow schools became the winners.

According to the scientific director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence Ivan Yashchenko, Muscovites are showing good results.
“Three finals of the All-Russian Olympiad have already passed, and our schoolchildren have performed well at them. Such results first of all confirm both the deep knowledge of the children and their successful intensive work. Indeed, despite the pandemic, the work on developing talent did not stop. The trainers conducted classes remotely, and the Center for Pedagogical Excellence provided students with online courses and sets of assignments of various difficulty levels, ”said Ivan Yashchenko.
Based on the results of the final stage, participants were identified who will represent Russia at the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad. From April 20 to April 26, five Moscow schoolchildren will defend the honor of the country. They will also take part in the training camp for the International Chemistry Olympiad, to which a total of eight Muscovites are invited.

The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is held in 24 subjects for students in grades 4-11 and includes four stages: school, municipal, regional and final. The last two assignments are designed for students in grades 9-11. Winners and awardees of the final stage can enter without exams in any Russian university in areas corresponding to the profile of the Olympiad. The organizer of the final stage is the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
