The oldest of the three buildings was built in 1894.

In the Basmanny District, this year, roofs will be repaired in three houses – objects of cultural heritage. The work will take place as part of a large-scale regional program overhaul.

The works are planned in a historical building at the address: Lyalin lane, building 5, building 1. A three-storey residential building built in 1917 is designed for 10 residential apartments. On the ground floor there are trade offices, which are still in use today.

The roof of the building on Solyanka Street will be repaired. The House of the Moscow Merchant Society (house ½) is a complex of six-storey apartment buildings. The buildings were erected according to the design of architects Vladimir Sherwood, Ivan German and Alexey Sergeev at the beginning of the 20th century on the territory of the former Salt Yard (it was so called because salt was stored here in the basements). It was possible to get inside only through the front entrance gates with sections in the form of towers. The attic, the decorative wall of the building, is decorated with figures of winged girls with wreaths in their hands, so the residential complex is often called the house under the angels. The facades of the building are decorated in neoclassical style with the use of classical architectural forms.

Also, the renovation will take place at the address: Chaplygin street, house 10. The four-storey apartment building was built by the architect Ivan Kondratenko in 1894 – this is evidenced by the medallions with dates on the facade of the building. 14 apartments in the house were previously rented out. In one of them, the owner of the house, a dentist, lived with his wife. The building is decorated with carved figures of lions, and the main entrances are decorated with antique amphorae.

During the repair, the workers will completely replace the pitched roof covering, repair the drainage system, and, where provided, insulate the attic floors. For this, mineral wool slabs are used, which are a modern heat insulator, maintain the temperature regime and increase the energy efficiency of the entire building. In addition, the overhaul involves a complete replacement of the roof covering. During the work, the entire old coating is dismantled, after which a new one is installed and the fences are replaced.

Only contractors with special licenses from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation are allowed to work on historical sites. During the overhaul, the facilities are regularly checked by specialists Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow, and construction control employees carry out operational, intermediate and acceptance monitoring.

Information stands are placed next to each object where work is taking place. It contains the details of the contractor carrying out the repairs and the contact details of the authorized employees. Also, for all questions, you can contact the dispatch office of the Fund for Capital Repair of Moscow: +7 (495) 695-64-20.

The goal of the regional program is to repair the common property of apartment buildings. We are talking about the renovation of facades, elevators, roofs, foundations and utilities.
