In the final stage of the competition, held in Ryazan, on the basis of the Guards parachute regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Force, the winners of the qualifying rounds of the Airborne Forces formations took part.

In total, 8 teams representing all formations of the Airborne Forces, having flamethrower units, took part in the final stage of the Airborne Forces competition.

The final stage of the competition was held in four stages.

At the first stage, flamethrower crews competed in firing from an AK-74m machine gun and in live firing from infantry jet flamethrowers “Shmel”. According to the terms of the competition, the crews fired from the RPO-A “Bumblebee” 93-mm rocket infantry flamethrowers at armored targets and shelters that imitated the enemy’s long-term firing points and sniper positions. The personnel of the flamethrower units showed excellent skills in detecting and hitting a simulated enemy with thermobaric ammunition at a distance of up to 300 meters. At this stage, the best result was found in the RPO-A “Bumblebee” crew of the RKhBZ company of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Force.

At the second stage, the teams competed in fulfilling the standards for special, fire and physical training, where the best was the calculation of a separate guards airborne assault unit from Ulyanovsk, and the record of the annual competition was set by a unit from Novorossiysk.

At the third stage, the paratroopers had to overcome the fire-assault zone, where there were no equal representatives of a separate special-purpose guards unit from Kubinka near Moscow.

At the final stage, the flamethrower crews competed in theoretical training in their military specialty, where again there were no equal to the personnel of the Ulyanovsk Separate Guards Airborne Force, which also won the overall team classification according to the results of the competition.

In second place was the flamethrower crew from Ivanovo, and the third were participants from the Moscow Region Kubinka.

At the end of the final stage of the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded medals, commemorative diplomas and valuable gifts. The winning team was awarded the Cup of the winner of the competition, which was presented by the head of the RHBZ service of the Airborne Forces, Colonel Alexei Goncharov.
