The crews of the Yars mobile ground-based missile systems (PGRK) of the Barnaul missile formation of the Strategic Missile Forces took up field positions and began to be on alert as part of the command post exercise (KSHU) in the Altai Territory.

During the exercise, strategic missile engineers work out the issues of launching missile systems on combat patrol routes, marching to change field positions, their engineering equipment, organizing camouflage and combat security.

Mobile missile systems “Yars” are dispersed in dense forests over vast areas. The Barnaul formation and military units of the Strategic Missile Forces have been assigned complex tasks, taking into account the capabilities of modern weapons, military and special equipment.

During the exercise, counter-sabotage forces will perform the task of detecting, blocking and destroying conditional saboteurs, including using unmanned aerial vehicles.

At this command and control unit, at a qualitatively new level, the issues of masking the Yars complexes, countering modern and promising air attack weapons, as well as warning about the threat of their use in cooperation with formations and units of the Central Military District are being worked out.

More than 3 thousand servicemen are involved in the exercise, about 300 units of large-sized equipment are involved.
