Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School (DVOKU) named after Marshal of the Soviet Union K.K. Rokossovsky (Blagoveshchensk, Amur Region) this year will take part in two new contests of the International Army Games – “Horse Marathon” and “Tactical Shooter”. The teams have already been formed and are being trained according to individual plans.

The preparation of the team for the “Horse Marathon” is carried out on the basis of the training center of the border department of the FSB in the Amur region. The team is recruited from the cadets of the faculty of training commanders for mining units. Trainings are held daily. Cadets master the comprehensive issues of cavalry training and horse care. Classes are organized optional, without prejudice to the course of the main training program.

The training program for the “Tactical Shooter” competition included the groundwork collected by the school’s team in tactical army shooting. The competition is being introduced into the ARMI system for the first time. Considering the wide experience of the DVOKU team of participation in various disciplines in practical shooting, the cadets from the Far East can be considered one of the favorites.

DVOKU is one of the strongest schools for preparing teams for the International Army Games. Traditionally, teams from a military university successfully compete in the Sniper Frontier, Suvorov Onslaught, Marine Assault, Tank Biathlon, Elbrus Ring competitions and in the Falcon Hunt UAV competition. The school’s teams have been taking part in the International Army Games since 2016. Since that time, cadets from the Far East have taken leading positions at the All-Russian stages in the competitions of BMP-2 crews, marines and snipers every year, successfully representing Russia at international games.
