The house was built in 1947 by the architect Jacob Lichtenberg.

In the Butyrsky district of Moscow this year, the roof of a historic building will be repaired at the address: Rustaveli Street, 9. Work in residential buildings, which are objects of cultural heritage, are taking place within the framework of a large-scale regional overhaul program.

The building was built in 1947 by the architect Jacob Lichtenberg. It belongs to the examples of low-rise construction of the post-war years. A fountain was installed in the courtyard of the house. The building was recognized as the best in a competition held by the Office for Architecture of the RSFSR. Previously, next to this building there was a public transport stop called “Green House”. Later, the building was repainted, and the bus stop also changed its name.

In this house, as in other historical buildings included in the regional overhaul program, specialists will change the roofing of the pitched roof, repair the drainage system, and insulate the attic floors, where it is provided for by the design documentation.

When repairing a roof, the entire old coating is dismantled, after which a new roof is made and fences are installed. All work is carried out in strict accordance with applicable building codes and regulations.

The attic floor is insulated to restore the temperature and humidity conditions of the attic space, which increases the energy efficiency of the building as a whole and improves the operation of the roof. For this, mineral wool slabs are used. If necessary, the battens, rafters and mauerlat are changed, all wooden structures are treated with fire-retardant compounds, hatches and exits to the attic and the roof are renewed.

As a result, the residents of the houses will receive a new roof made using modern technologies from innovative materials.

Only contractors with special licenses from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation are allowed to repair historic buildings. During the overhaul, the facilities are regularly checked by specialists Department of Cultural Heritage of the City of Moscow… Operational, intermediate and acceptance monitoring is carried out by construction control staff.

The goal of the regional program is to repair the common property of apartment buildings. We are talking about the renovation of facades, elevators, roofs, foundations and utilities.

Information stands are placed next to each object where work is taking place. There you can find the details of the contractor carrying out the repairs and the contact details of the authorized employees.
