Kronstadt naval cadets visited the exhibition “Orthodoxy and the Navy” in the Kronstadt Naval Cathedral.

The exposition was created by the staff of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great. It includes exhibits telling about the history of the ships of the Navy, named after the saints of the Russian Orthodox Church, documents about the history of the naval clergy, as well as museum materials telling about the liturgical traditions on the ships of the Russian fleet and the organization of the work of ship churches.

The exhibition, located in the Main Sea Temple of the country, is dedicated to the inextricable link between the naval and spiritual culture of our Fatherland. The traditions of the Russian fleet for more than three centuries were based on a solid foundation of faith, and the spiritual potential made our sailors inflexible.

Kronstadt Naval Cathedral is a special shrine for military sailors. Together with the residents of Kronstadt, the cadets take part in solemn services dedicated to the main Orthodox holidays and memorable events in the annals of the Russian fleet.
