Wimm-Bill-Dann was founded in 1992. As the enterprise developed, it included over 20 manufactures producing dairy products, juices and mineral water, as well as sales centers in more than 25 cities in Russia and the CIS countries. In 2011, Wimm-Bill-Dann was acquired by PepsiCo.
Today the company produces over a thousand types of dairy products and more than 150 types of juices, fruit nectars, non-carbonated drinks.
There are two enterprises of Wimm-Bill-Dann JSC operating in Moscow: Lianozovsky and Tsaritsinsky dairy plants. The area of land plots occupied by the two plants is 20.9 hectares, the area of industrial premises is 174.2 thousand square meters. 3920 people work for them, the average salary is 83.8 thousand rubles a month.
Every year, over 1.3 billion packages of products leave the conveyors of Moscow factories, which are supplied to almost all regions of Russia, about three percent of products are exported. The main sales market for the company is Moscow. Wimm-Bill-Dann covers almost 20 percent of the city’s dairy needs. More than two million residents of the capital consume its products every day.
In 2016, the city granted the enterprise the status of an industrial complex, which gave the company the right to receive benefits on income tax (15.5 instead of 20 percent), real estate (a 50 percent decrease) and land (a fivefold decrease). This made it possible to increase the volume of investments in production lines and, accordingly, improve the quality of products, including baby food. In 2015–2019, the company invested over 6.8 billion rubles in the comprehensive modernization of its Moscow production facilities.
In 2020, the Moscow Government signed an offset contract with Wimm-Bill-Dann JSC for the supply of 38 items of baby food for dairy distribution points, including milk, juices, fruit, vegetable, meat and meat-vegetable purees, cereals, cottage cheese, kefir, fermented milk and dry mixture. The contract is concluded for 10 years, of which two years are allocated for the organization of production. The products will have special labeling and branding. Investment in production will amount to 2.1 billion rubles. The contract value was 30.6 billion rubles.
The assignment of the Moscow Investor status to Wimm-Bill-Dann JSC will accelerate the implementation of investment plans to modernize Moscow production sites and create new jobs.
