According to Andrei Bochkarev, this summer it is planned to complete the tunneling of all tunnels on the BCL, and by the end of the year – to complete the construction of the southern section of the line with three new stations (Novatorskaya, Vorontsovskaya, Zyuzino). Their opening will improve transport services for several districts where more than half a million people live.
“The tunneling has been successfully completed, but in order to completely get out of the zone of influence of the existing metro, it is still necessary to dismantle and remove the tunnel boring shield to the surface,” explained Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
He said that the Herrenknecht S-218 “Natalia” tunnel boring machine (TPMK), with the help of which the work was carried out, will be dismantled in two stages. The head part will be disassembled through the technological openings of the first vestibule of the Vorontsovskaya station under construction.
“The remaining equipment of the tunneling shield for further dismantling will be moved through the tunnel with the help of technological rolling stock towards the construction site, which is located halfway to the Zyuzino station,” explained Yuri Kravtsov.
Earlier, the Herrenknecht S-218 “Natalia” tunnel boring shield passed the right running tunnel between Vorontsovskaya and Novatorskaya, as well as the left running tunnel between the Kakhovskaya and Zyuzino stations. In addition, he was involved in the construction of the tunnels of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line from Novoperedelkin to Rasskazovka and from Ramenki to Michurinsky prospect.
