It is connected to the main building by a pedestrian gallery.

Next to the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute, a four-story building was built, which will house the department of stage movement, a rehearsal room and a warehouse for decorations. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.

An annex with a technical floor is located at Bolshoi Nikolopeskovsky Lane, possession 12a, building 11.

“The extension with the hall is connected to the main building of the institute by a pedestrian gallery, which is very convenient for students and teachers. This is a good example of creating a comfortable environment in the difficult urban planning conditions of the center of a megalopolis, ”noted Andrei Bochkarev.

Leader Department of urban planning policy of the city of Moscow Sergey Levkin noted that the building was erected within the boundaries of the zone of strict regulation of development, therefore the construction project was agreed with Moscow City Heritage Site.

“I would like to congratulate the students on the appearance of the new rehearsal hall. Moscow has long been considered one of the leading theater capitals in the world, and now, given the lockdown in Berlin, Vienna, London and Milan, its importance will grow even more, ”said Sergei Levkin.

He also recalled that the complex arrangement and development of the center of the capital is carried out within the framework of the state program “Urban Development Policy”.
