Kronstadt naval cadets take part in the historical interactive game “At the beginning of glorious deeds”, dedicated to the 325th anniversary of the creation of the regular Russian Navy, the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I and the 320th anniversary of naval education as part of the annual historical and patriotic competition “Sea wreath of glory: sailors in the service of the Fatherland.”
Since the game is nautical, all teams are called crews. One of the crews, the Kronstadt Cadets, has already completed the tasks of the first stage of the program. Also, cadets took part in a historical interactive game on the exposition of the Central Naval Museum. Having received the envelope with the assignment, the children, in a playful way, got acquainted with the exposition and exhibits of the Hall of Fame of the Russian Fleet. They had to independently inspect unique models of ships, samples of weapons and equipment, domestic and captured ship flags, paintings and drawings by Russian and foreign artists, recall the battles of the Northern War with Sweden (1700-1721), outstanding associates of Peter I, the creation of the first military -marine educational institutions, and then write down your answers on special thematic forms.
The day of the submariner was marked by participation in an interactive game at the Museum of the History of Russian Submarine Forces named after A.I. Marinesco. Here, the children had to temporarily answer the questions of the assignment, independently studying the exposition of the only Museum of Submarine Forces in Russia, reflecting the formation of the domestic submarine Navy in historical chronology, finding answers in the descriptions of the exhibits.
Then, in the conference hall, the cadets watched a documentary about a submariner whose name the museum bears – Hero of the Soviet Union, Captain 3rd Rank A.I. Marinesco, and also answered the questions of the quiz “Traditions of the Russian Navy”, showing good knowledge of this issue.
First of all, cadets strive for victory, but at the same time, participation in the competition allows them to broaden their horizons and gain new knowledge that contributes to professional self-determination.
