Within the framework of the “Relay of Generations” project, the goal of which is to foster patriotism in young people and preserve the memory of terrible wars, a meeting of adolescents registered with the Penal Inspectorate, as well as pupils of the boarding school named after V.I. K.G. Zhukova with the Hero of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Bocharov.

The legendary special forces soldier told those present about his years of service in the special forces, about military missions, about the release of hostages in Beslan, as well as about his current social activities. The participants in the meeting learned that Vyacheslav Alekseevich had given 37 years of his life to military service, 25 of them served in the Airborne Forces. Behind him three wars, a wound in Afghanistan, then two Chechen campaigns. In 2004, Vyacheslav Bocharov took part in the hostage rescue operation in Beslan. He was the first to break into a school seized by terrorists, was seriously injured and almost died. During the event, unique video materials about the official activities of Vyacheslav Bocharov were shown, as well as a film about the tragic events in Beslan on September 1, 2004.

Vyacheslav Alekseevich talked with young people about honor, duty, service to the Fatherland, urged the children to be honest with themselves, choose the right path in life and endure life’s difficulties. At the end of the meeting, Vyacheslav Bocharov presented the teenagers with small thematic booklets.
