Every March, rescuers and pilots of the Russian Emergencies Ministry hold a regional training camp on parachute training.

The gathering was attended by more than a hundred rescuers of the Far Eastern Regional Search and Rescue Unit (DVRPSO) EMERCOM of Russia from Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Birobidzhan, and several crews of the Khabarovsk Aviation Rescue Center EMERCOM of Russia. We performed six hundred descents from a Mi-8 helicopter with the help of SUR (special roller descenders) from a height of up to 30 meters to a limited area and to the forest.

Professionals of the paratrooper unit of the DVRPSO and rescuers who had permission to parachute jumping landed from a height of 1.5 thousand meters. Training is the basis without which high-quality search and rescue work in the emergency zone and providing assistance to victims in hard-to-reach, impassable terrain is impossible.

During training, the aircraft crew and rescuers achieve coherence. Professionals of the Far East Regional Development Organization and the Khabarovsk ASC EMERCOM of Russia, despite their great experience, are constantly improving their skills by performing the most difficult exercises.
