This year, for the first time, Russia has become a partner country of the International Exhibition of Prepared Food and Beverages Anuga-2021 – one of the most significant events in the food industry, which traditionally takes place in Cologne (Germany).
Every two years at the event, which has been held for more than a hundred years, leading manufacturers from all over the world present their products. The exposition brings together ten thematic fairs, which showcase various categories of food. Organic products will become a separate area this year.
Also, the exhibition will host culinary master classes, lectures, training seminars and congresses with the participation of international analysts and food industry specialists. This year, the event will offer visitors a trend zone – a space for demonstrating advanced technologies and research, as well as a special section dedicated to Halal products. In addition, the thematic digital platform of the exhibition will be launched.
The products of domestic companies have already been repeatedly presented in the pavilions of the Anuga exhibition. So, in 2019, 27 Russian manufacturers from 20 regions of the country took part in it. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the variety of domestic food products and taste dishes of national cuisine from October 9 to 13.
The Russian Federation supplies food to 177 countries of the world and is one of the twenty leading exporters of agricultural products. At the end of 2020, our country received a record income from its sale abroad – $ 30.7 billion, which is 20% more than a year earlier. Russia is the largest supplier of wheat, as well as a leading exporter of barley, sunflower and rapeseed oils, frozen fish, and crustaceans. Russian organic products also have a high potential for increasing supplies. The increase in shipments of goods with high added value is facilitated by the growth of production capacities and government support for processing industry enterprises.
