The crews of the Boikiy corvette and the Minsk large landing ship (BDK) of the Baltic Fleet performed a number of combat exercises in the Baltic Sea.

The ships conducted artillery fire at real sea and air targets. The firing was carried out by combat crews of the batteries of the A-190 and AK-725 artillery mounts. Before performing combat exercises, the crews worked out actions on a training alert, according to the option of defending ships from small-sized high-speed targets of a simulated enemy. The servicemen of anti-terror units practiced in organizing the protection and defense of ships when parked in an unprotected roadstead and suppressing an attack on a detachment of a high-speed small-sized surface target.

A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet consisting of the corvette “Boykiy” and the large landing craft “Minsk” left the Naval Harbor of Baltiysk in mid-February and set out on a long voyage as part of the permanent naval presence of the ships of the Baltic Fleet in its area of ​​responsibility.

During this time, the ships have covered more than 5 thousand nautical miles. During the cruise, the crews of a detachment of warships of the Baltic Fleet performed dozens of combat training missions. The Balts conducted anti-aircraft and anti-submarine defense exercises, various naval exercises and training in the waters of the Baltic and North Seas.
