Within the framework of the first stage of the All-Army competition in field training “Polar Star”, which is taking place in preparation for the Army International Games “ARMY-2021”, servicemen of the Special Forces (SPN) of the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) and the Federal Service of National Guard Troops (Rosgvardia ) performed individual firing exercises with standard weapons.

During the event at the Tesnitskoye training ground of the Tula Guards Airborne Formation, commanders and deputy commanders of groups, snipers, radio operators, grenade launchers and sappers fired for accuracy, time and the correctness of target selection from Makarov pistols (PM), AK-74M assault rifles, PKM machine guns and “Pecheneg”, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers RPG-7D and sniper rifles SVDS.

The shooting was carried out at multi-colored chest, height, head and waist target figures, as well as targets imitating machine-gun crews and military equipment of a conditional enemy. The range to the targets was from 25 to 500 m.

Snipers, according to the conditions of the exercise, it was necessary to hit the center of the emerging chest figures at a distance of 300 to 500 m from the prone position from the stop to the center of the appearing chest figures. The total ammunition was 20 rounds.

A feature of the exercise is firing from a sniper rifle with a telescopic sight for 20 minutes. Places for the exercise were determined by the amount of points scored (hits on the target).

The results of the stage will be announced at a later date after summing up its results.

In total, about 100 best scouts from 4 special-purpose units of airborne (airborne assault) formations, a separate special-purpose guards unit from Kubinka near Moscow and a Russian Guard team take part in the competition.

The participants who have shown the best results will be included in the national team of the Russian Federation, which will represent our country at the international stage of the competition, which will be held in late August – early September this year at the Brestsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus.
