The naval stage of the competition for the title of the best military chef and baker “Field Kitchen-2021” took place in the Baltic Fleet. About 50 different specialists, chiefs of food services, cooks, cooks, bakers from ten formations and military units of the fleet took part in the nominations of the competition.
The naval championship, which took place on the basis of the Marine Corps unit in the city of Baltiysk, was attended by both conscripts and contract servicemen who were trained in specialized educational institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
At the competitions of the stage, the contestants fulfilled the complex standard for the deployment of a modern field kitchen and the preparation of various dishes. Military bakers have worked out a similar standard on field equipment.
The main criterion for evaluating culinary skills was the quality of the prepared dishes. In addition to skills in their specialty, at the Khmelevka training ground, military chefs passed the standards for fire and physical training, as well as a number of other types of training.
According to the results of the competition, the participants were determined who entered the combined team of the Baltic Fleet.
In the summer, the struggle for the laurels of the best military baker and cook will unfold at the level of the Western Military District.
Competitions in the Baltic Fleet were held in preparation for the International Army Games “ARMI-2021”.
Field cuisine is the most “delicious” and peaceful competition, during which military chefs demonstrate their skill in preparing a variety of national tasty and healthy food in the field, show modern technologies for its preparation.
